Biron, Bourdeilles et Cadouin : Enjoy visits to the two châteaux of Biron and Bourdeilles, and Cadouin cloister, listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. This application gives you commentaries, video guides, photos and quizzes. Several routes can be consulted in French, English, German, Spanish, Dutch and sign language for Cadouin and, in Occitan for Bourdeilles. The application can be downloaded for €1.59.

Black Périgord: Find all the information you'll need for your holiday in Black Périgord: the iconic sites of the Vézère and Dordogne Valleys (Lascaux, Sarlat, Les Eyzies…), local produce (foie gras, truffles…), the "Loveliest Villages in France" and their panoramic views…

Périgord Plateaux and Rivers
A map is available on your mobile to access the excursion routes proposed by the communauté de communes (local authority) in real time. From Savignac-Lédrier to Cubjac via Excideuil, 27 loops of excursions are accessible to the walkers, hikers, mountain bikers and riders. All practical information (length, difficulty, GPS details, places of interest) are downloadable to your mobile phone by scanning the QR Codes next to the map points.

Bassin d'Arcachon - The Union des bateliers arcachonnais (Arcachon boat trips)
Throughout the year, the bateliers arcachonnais offer you excursions, crossings, tours and boat rental in the Bassin d'Arcachon. An unequaled way to discover the most beautiful sights of the basin : the île aux oiseaux, the Great Dune of Pilat, the banc d’Arguin, Cap Ferret…

Blaye : Perched on a rocky outcrop, the citadel of Blaye offers an unbeatable panoramic view of the Gironde estuary. Use your mobile to discover the best viewpoints and must-see monuments, as well as information on festivals and special events throughout the year. Blaye – Côtes de Bordeaux : Using pedestrian paths and suggested mountain bike routes, this application will guide you through the vineyards in Blaye and Côtes de Bordeaux. Wine-growing châteaux, viewpoints, monuments, events and restaurants are indicated all along your stroll. This application also allows you to book hotels and guest houses directly.
Finally, with the augmented reality system, you can superimpose various practical information on images filmed with your phone.

Find out more about smartphones
The new generation of mobile phones, or smartphones, can make perfect travelling partners. They come with a wide range of functions, which you can use to plan your trip down to the fine details: finding a restaurant, booking a hotel, listening to a guided tour, finding leisure activities, finding the schedule of upcoming cultural events or checking the weather forecast, getting around with GPS maps, sending online postcards...
There are several different ways to access this information, depending on the options offered by the local tourist office and their partners:
- Download the applications of your choice from the usual download sources: the iPhone AppStore or the AndroidMarket and Windows Marketplace for other handsets. Some 'apps' are free, some must be purchased. Don't forget to update your apps from time to time.
- Search and display information directly via your handset's web browser. You can use the search engine to find information about your next visit, for example.
- Or use your handset's camera to scan the QR Codes and flashcodes displayed on monuments, signposts and brochures. These black and white symbols are the key to unlock site-specific information on your mobile, with information about monuments, art works, events and more. To access this function you will need a 2D code reader such as i-nigma or neoreader .
