En piste There is nothing flat about Aquitaine! Its highest point is in the Pyrenees, at 2900 metres, and offers snow enthusiasts a number of ski resorts combining the authenticity of mountain villages and the modernity of their facilities.

How to get there
The nearest main city is Pau, the gateway to the ski resorts of the Pyrénées Atlantiques region.

By plane…

Pau or Oloron station.
TGV high-speed train 3 or 4 times a day (depending on the period) from Paris-Montparnasse (via Bordeaux and Dax).
Night trains from Paris-Austerlitz (via Tours, Bordeaux and Dax).
Express trains and night trains from Geneva (via Nîmes and Toulouse).
Express trains and night trains from Nice (via Marseille and Toulouse).

By car…
From Bordeaux, A62 motorway (direction Toulouse) to Langon, then A65 motorway to Pau.
From Toulouse: A64 motorway to Soumoulou-Pau.

Before you launch yourself onto the pistes, there are a few mobile internet sites and smartphone apps which can help you keep up-to-date with the latest news from the resorts (snow fall/weather forecast, webcams, which pistes are open, events etc.)
