"Courant d’art" gallery, a fascinating plance
The person behind this place dedicated to art and the memory of the Landes area in the village of Moliets-et-Maâ (intriguing name, don't you think?) is Sylvie Licard, a passionate gallery owner and former journalist. She also makes film documentaries.
She welcomes you to this restored Landes house where two rooms and the patio contain paintings, sculptures and photos recounting 30 years of artistic encounters in the region and beyond.
Each work of art tells its own story and lets you into the secrets of some outstanding creators. Let Sylvie Licard and her contagious enthusiasm be your guide...
The same goes for her documentary films which give an insight into the soul of the Landes area. Through 6 themes and the voices of the last witnesses of this "old" world, the films retrace traditional country life, paying homage to the rubber tappers and the "coursayres" (people who practise Course Landaise).
You can come and go as you please. The documentaries are screened from 4.30 pm according to theme you want to discover. The gallery is open from 10.30 am to 1 pm and 4.30 pm to 7 pm.
Monday is a rest day!
