Geocaching in Béarn

Geocaching en Bearn des GavesGeocaching is a leisure activity which involves heading off to seek treasure – the "cache" – using a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver. Available to guide you in your quest: a web site for players or even, as is the case here, a briefing from the tourist office, who also have geocaching equipment available to hire.

During the course of your journey, the briefing will outline places to visit, tell you about the history of the region and pay tribute to the environment, allowing you to discover the Pre-Pyrenees and the two towns of Béarn des Gaves: Orthez and Navarrenx.

During the course of your journey, two "caches" have been concealed in a watertight container. Once you have found them, you can replace the objects they contain with something belonging to you, in order to keep the game going...

And to relax after your adventures, choose from a 2-star hotel in Orthez or a gîte for 17 people with free access to a kitchen, located close to the cité de Gaston Fébus. Sheets and bath linen are provided.

So do you feel like Indiana Jones or Jack Sparrow?*

Price:
From €149 for 1 night in a double room in a 2-star hotel and €150 for 2 nights in a double room in a gîte. Transport and meals not included.
