Observe cranes

Observe cranes in Aquitaine, South West France. The nesting period for cranes (November to March) is an ideal occasion to look at a specific aspect of one of the riches of Aquitaine in the domain of green tourism. The observation of these thousands of migratory birds that come to the South West for the winter has mobilised several people who propose a diversity of activities.

There is the short version, with day-long or half-day walks (ideal for kids) in various spots in the Landes de Gascogne Regional Nature Park, accompanied by guides from the Aquitaine Bird Protection League, or the Arjuzanx Reserve.

The longer version with weekends organised on the theme of crane observation and with accommodation in one of the 15 participating gîtes (in the Regional Nature Park, service providers that have received training on the subject).
