In July 2010, on a river known for its canoes and barges, Sup-Périgord launched France's first riverside centre for stand-up paddle boarding.
Stand up padde (or SUP) is a new sport derived from surfing, using long, buoyant, very stable boards and a large paddle.
Fun, easy and open to all, it's a great way to explore the valley of 1001 chateaux, villages nestled among the cliffs, prehistoric caves... all from the Périgord's iconic river.
Take a lesson or just hire the equipment, the choice is yours. François Féray's motto: "Every day spent on the water is a good day."
