Pau, the city in the mountains

Pau

Looking for a break amongst snow-topped mountains or a city break combining visits to museums with supping hot mugs of tea? Look no further! Come to Pau and you can enjoy both!

It couldn't be simpler to experience the city’s many attractions (museums, shopping, concerts, markets...), then head to the mountains to enjoy what's on offer there.

At just one hour by car, you can also reach the resorts of La Pierre-Saint-Martin, Artouste or Gourette. If arriving by train or plane, Pau is accessible via coach routes, with coaches travelling to the city once a day.
